Metro Phoenix is mostly a 21 & over nightlife town, which is why this question is hard to answer. Here is the straight version of where our doors sit.

  • Glendale, 18 & overThe 44 Live Music Bar, 4494 W Peoria Ave, Glendale, AZ 85302. Our weekly themed bar nights. Closest 18 & over room to Grand Canyon University.
  • Phoenix, 18 & overStratus Event Center, 4344 W Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85031. The big headliner and themed production nights.
  • Old Town Scottsdale, 21 & overOur Scottsdale nights are 21 & over. Old Town is a 21 & over district almost everywhere, so if you are 18 to 20, come to Glendale or Phoenix instead.
  • Tempe and ASU, 21 & overOur Tempe college night is 21 & over. For 18 to 20 year olds near ASU, the Phoenix headliner nights at Stratus are the closest thing we run.

What 18 & over means here

Bring a valid government issued photo ID. Everyone gets carded on the way in, whether you are drinking or not. If you are 21 or over you get a wristband for the bar. If you are 18 to 20 you get in, you just do not drink, and the bar will not serve you. Arizona's drinking age is 21 and we do not bend it.

Are there any 18+ clubs in Phoenix?

There are very few permanent 18 & over clubs in Phoenix. Most of the 18 & over nightlife here is event based, meaning a promoter takes over a venue for one night and sets the door at 18. That is what DartyForLife runs: weekly 18 & over bar nights at The 44 in Glendale and larger 18 & over headliner nights at Stratus Event Center in Phoenix.

What age can you go to a club in Arizona?

Arizona's legal drinking age is 21, and each venue sets its own entry age. That is why most bars and clubs in the state are 21 & over. An 18 & over night happens when the venue and the promoter agree to open the door at 18 and stop serving alcohol to anyone under 21.

Are there 18+ events near GCU?

Yes. The 44 Live Music Bar at 4494 W Peoria Ave in Glendale is about five minutes from the Grand Canyon University campus, and our weekly nights there are 18 & over to enter. It is the closest regular 18 & over night to GCU.

Are there 18+ events near ASU in Tempe?

Our Tempe college night is 21 & over, so it is not an option if you are 18 to 20. The closest 18 & over nights we run to ASU are the headliner events at Stratus Event Center in west Phoenix.

Is Old Town Scottsdale 18+?

Almost never. Old Town Scottsdale is a 21 & over entertainment district at nearly every bar and club, including our own Scottsdale night. If you are 18 to 20 and looking for Old Town, you will be turned away at most doors.

Do I need an ID for an 18+ event?

Yes. Bring a valid government issued photo ID every time. Everyone is carded at the door regardless of age, and there is no entry without one.
